Heightened Senses is inspired by two lover whales making their way to the Hawaiian Islands to give birth and nurture their young. Whale in Hawaiian language is Kohola. Every year, the koholas migrate from Alaska to the Hawaiian islands between the months of November and lasting through May. It is a 4 to 6 week journey for the whales to arrive to Hawaii and lucky for the people of Maui, Maui is home to the densest population of North Pacific humpback whales.
This is an open edition print of ”Heightened Senses" created in 2022. These prints are created with William Turner 310 gsm/ 100% cotton paper and are very high quality. "Open Edition" means that this print will be created forever but is not signed and numbered.
The original was created in 2022 on 11 x 14” Cold Pressed Archers Watercolor Paper using Sennelier watercolor.
