This piece is inspired by the chameleons on the Hawaiian islands. Here in Hawaii, we call the chameleons “Jacksons.” This is because the chameleons in Hawaii come from Kenya Africa and were named after the ornithologist Frederick John Jackson; who was governor of Kenya at that time. It's easy to tell a male Jackson chameleon from a female because only the males have horns. The horns are used to defend the male's territory.
Inside of the heart, you have a place on Maui that is known as, “Secrets Beach.” This beach is located in Kihei and is one of the many beautiful beaches one can find on Maui.
This is an open edition print of ”I See You" created in 2022. These prints are created with William Turner 310 gsm/ 100% cotton paper and are very high quality. "Open Edition" means that this print will be created forever but is not signed and numbered.
The original was created in 2022 on 9x12" Cold Pressed Archers Watercolor Paper using Sennelier watercolor.
